Getting to the North Star Rail Trail
Access from Kimberley
The North Star Rail Trail begins at Rotary Drive, across from the Civic Centre Arena and adjacent to the Aquatic Centre. It’s easily reachable by foot or bicycle from downtown, with connections passing through the Platzl. Amenities at this trailhead include free parking, a bike repair station, washrooms, and water fountains.
Access from Cranbrook
From Cranbrook, drive north on Highway 95A, turn left onto Collinson Road, and follow the gravel lane uphill to reach the trailhead. Parking, picnic tables, washrooms, benches, interpretive signage, and a bike repair station are available to visitors.
One-Way Travel Without a Car
Cycle one way along the trail and return using Kimberley Transit’s Route 22 commuter bus. A scenic and stress-free circular journey!
